So what is a wisdom builder?
A Wisdom Builder is a notebook you keep for the words that resonate with you: a quote, a verse, a line from a book, a thought of your own. If it resonates, it belongs. There's no rule about what counts, and no wrong way to keep one.
the practice
Collect.
When you come across a line that moves you, in a book, a podcast, a conversation, a sermon, catch it however you can in the moment. Then copy it into your Wisdom Builder. We call this part idea catching. Aim to capture a few notes and quotes a month.
Reflect.
Set aside a quiet moment on a Sunday to look back over everything you gathered that month. Notice what really resonates, and ask one question: how can this move me forward? The aim is to come away with an idea or two about what to do next, some freshly scooped, delicious ideas.
Create.
Next, let what resonates turn into something real. Set your ideas free into the wild. Make the thing you've been picturing, ship the work, or let a quote shift how you see. However small, commit to moving differently, in wiser ways.
That's the whole practice. Easy to begin, and easy to keep. Each month your Sundae dispatch arrives with fresh prompts and food for thought, so you always have a theme and new ideas to kick-start another round of collecting.
A fresh little wisdom builder will wing its way to you each month
